Undead Labs is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Playtest Coordinator for the Studio. As a Playtest Coordinator, you’ll drive the playtest culture at Undead including scheduling, feedback, participation, and more. Our ideal candidate will be interested in user research, playtest feedback, quality assurance, and building/maintaining a studio-wide process.

Core Responsibilities & Objectives

  • Build, maintain, and run playtest schedule and process for all of our projects including managing invitations, attendees, schedule conflicts, playtest feedback, bug reports, etc.
  • Work with product teams and QA to identify and prep builds that have the desired content.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to make sure all features across both products are getting the playtest time they need.
  • Collaborate with IT to set up new hires for playtesting, onboard new hires into playtesting sessions.
  • Assist release management and QA as needed to prepare builds.
  • Assist UX/UR and QA to prepare builds with correct content, known issues etc. for User Research testing.
  • Create, execute, and maintain a bug reporting process including communication, follow ups, etc.
  • Summarize playtest outputs and highlight trends/key issues as they affect product and quality.
  • Liaise with Analytics on ways to improve objective data gathering from playtests and features.

Core Traits & Experience

  • Passion for video games and the video game industry, product quality, and player experience.
  • 1+ years experience in User Research, Quality Assurance, Production, or related field.
  • Basic technical skills or desire to learn basic technical skills and programs: Google Suite, Slack, Installation of applications on PC/Xbox, etc.
  • A self-starter with the ability to make progress in the face of ambiguity by being humble, curious, and collaborative.
  • Disciplined at creating and maintaining documentation, standards, and best practices.
  • An ability to communicate effectively across disciplines.
  • Strong time management and prioritization chops.

  • Ability to champion processes and participation, draw in people, and fuel their excitement.

Physical Requirements

  • Close vision to monitors and screens, consistently working on computer equipment such as keyboards and monitors, long periods of sitting.
  • Noise levels are low to moderate in the work environment.
