Software Engineer - Senior Unreal Developer

We are looking for a senior engineer with deep expertise developing in Unreal Engine. You’ll bring your knowledge of the engine’s architecture - as well as an understanding of how best to utilize it - to design and implementation decisions in our software. As a member of the software engineering team, you’ll be contributing code to a variety of systems, as well as reviewing technical designs and collaborating with our other engineers in order to create a best in class product. Your dedication to your craft and mentorship of our other engineers will be a key part of building an engaging experience with a fan base of millions of players.

Core Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Write and maintain production-quality C++ and Blueprint code while employing best practices in Unreal Engine
  • Evangelize Unreal Engine best practices to the development team and assist in making sound architectural decisions
  • Design and implement game systems that are extensible and performant
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior developers
  • Collaborate directly with the design team on the definition of game features
  • Apply your knowledge, critical thinking skills, unique perspective and ideas to the production of our games.


Core Traits and Experience

  • Proficient with C++ and familiar with software development methodologies.
  • An expert in multiple Unreal Engine systems with the ability to drive development best practices for Unreal
  • A self-starter with the ability to make progress in the face of ambiguity by gathering data and performing analysis needed to make and justify decisions.
  • An ability to communicate effectively across disciplines.
  • Ideally brings 8+ years of experience in a software engineering role with a focus in Unreal Engine.


Bonus Traits and Experience

  • Experience with console game development.
  • Experience developing titles in Unreal Engine of different genres.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Close vision to monitors and screens, consistently working on computer equipment such as keyboards and monitors, long periods of sitting.
  • Noise levels are low to moderate in the work environment.
